Report an Animal Care Concern

Signs describing contact procedures for reporting misuse or abuse of animals used in teaching or research have been prominently posted in buildings across campus. The text of the sign is provided below:

The Veterinary Technology Program's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) will immediately investigate any allegation of abuse of teaching animals, or misconduct regarding animal use in teaching. You do not have to identify your self to make a report of animal abuse. If you choose to identify yourself to the IACUC, your identity will be kept in strictest confidence.

Personal Information – Note: You are not required to provide your name or contact information, but the IACUC would like that information to facilitate gathering additional information about your complaint, and if you request it, notification of outcome of the investigation. Any person making a complaint will be protected by federal whistle‐blower statutes (see Whistle Blower Laws),and his/her anonymity will be strictly protected by the IACUC and the IACUC Office.
