Transfer Matters Advising Summit
Advising Community College Transfer Students
The Transfer Matters Advising Summit (TMAS), is a professional development training event for transfer advisors and mentors, hosted by the Columbia State Community College's Career, Veteran, and Transfer (CVT) Center. As the summit is focused on advising community college transfer students, we welcome public, private, out of state, and online institutions as we strengthen transfer pathways across Tennessee and beyond.
Who Will Attend
Professionals who advise, mentor, or support community college transfer students, including:
• Academic advisors
• Recruiters
• Deans and program directors
• Faculty
• Dual enrollment counselors
• Mentors
• Professional and support staff
Institution Participation
University representatives will be able to discuss programs, transfer pathways, requirements, and scholarships. Transfer institutions are encouraged to bring multiple university representatives to participate as presenters in concurrent breakout sessions based on Columbia State’s majors offered by academic divisions* and advising model.
Presenters and Attendees will choose one concurrent breakout session. Breakout groups follow Columbia State's advising model by academic division and may differ from divisions at your institution. More information is available at columbiastate.edu/academics .
