Columbia State Announces Spring 2020 President’s and Dean’s Lists
Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce 153 students named to the president's list and 713 students named to the Dean's List for earning academic honors during the spring 2020 semester.
"The spring semester brought some challenges. However, our students met those challenges head-on, and they persisted in their pursuit of academic excellence," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "These students continued to excel while adjusting to new learning formats and technologies and managing full-time course loads and personal obligations. That is an outstanding achievement."
To qualify for the president's list, students must earn 15 credit hours for the semester with a grade point average of 3.90-4.00.
“Students who earned a spot on the dean’s list proved that hard work, perseverance and the determination to excel can help prepare students for any academic challenge,” said Joni Lenig, interim vice president of academic affairs and associate vice president of faculty, curriculum and programs. “Transitioning a full-time course load from on-ground classes to an online or web conferencing format while maintaining excellent grades and personal obligations is a remarkable accomplishment.”
To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn 12 or more credit hours for the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
*Please note that any grade changes made after Jun. 22, 2020 that would affect a student's standing on the President's or Dean's list will be reflected on a student's transcript.
