Columbia State Awarded Grant from The League for Innovation in the Community College
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Feb. 6, 2020) - - - Columbia State Community College was recently awarded a grant from The League for Innovation in the Community College that will be used to support activities promoting student awareness of public health careers during the 2020 National Public Health Week April 6-10.
Columbia State will utilize funds to host a live panel discussion with representatives of careers in public health, followed by a question and answer session with panel members and students.
“The events planned for the National Public Health Week would educate students of opportunities in public health that are available to graduates outside of the traditional allied health programs offered at the college,” said Joni Lenig, Columbia State interim vice president for academic affairs.
