Columbia State Receives Donation from Women of Williamson
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Nov. 16, 2018) - - - The Columbia State Community College Foundation recently received a donation from the Women of Williamson to support their current scholarship endowment at the college.
The WOW scholarship was awarded to four recipients this year. Ashley Manis, Columbia State freshman and WOW scholarship recipient, attended the meeting to express her gratitude for the scholarship.
"It is a pleasure for Women Of Williamson to contribute to the scholarship fund at Columbia State that will provide financial assistance to women beginning college or continuing their college education," said Nancy Conway, WOW/Columbia State liaison and Columbia State Foundation board member. "This also enables the community to better their workforce."
"Women of Williamson is comprised of highly competent and community minded women that want to encourage other women in our communities to reach for their own goals and aspirations," said Bethany Lay, Columbia State vice president for Advancement and executive director of the Columbia State Foundation. "Columbia State is glad to have WOW championing our students."
