Columbia State Student Receives PTK Hurst Review NCLEX Scholarship
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - April 30, 2018) - - - Columbia State Community College student, Alexandria Pope, has been selected as one of 22 students nationwide to receive the Phi Theta Kappa Spring 2018 Hurst Review NCLEX® scholarship that helps cover the cost of NCLEX® exam fees and study materials.
"Alexandria is a very serious and solid student in both knowledge and clinical skills," said Judy Smith, Columbia State associate professor of nursing. "She is able to think with depth and will be an asset for her future patients."
The scholarship, funded by national nursing exam prep company Hurst Review Services, is exclusively for PTK nursing majors who plan to take the NCLEX®. Hurst Scholars will receive a code to cover the cost of Hurst Review NCLEX® study materials and a cash award to cover the NCLEX® exam fees.
The NCLEX® is a standardized exam given by each state's board of nursing to determine if RN or LPN/LVN candidates are competent for entry-level nursing practice. In addition to the scholarship, Hurst also provides a $50 discount on NCLEX® study materials - including the company's newest product, N-STREAM - for all PTK members preparing to take the exam.
