Columbia State Calls For Entries For "Rock Paper Scissors" Juried Artisan Exhibit/Festival

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Nov. 16, 2016) - - - Columbia State Community College's Pryor Art Gallery announces a call for entries to "Rock Paper Scissors," a juried art exhibit and craft festival.

Artisans are asked to submit the entry form and an image of the pottery; glasswork; sculptures in metal, rock or leather; or any other fine craftwork and media by Dec. 5. A guest juror will judge the submissions for the exhibit. The exhibit will run from Jan. 11 - Feb. 16. Craft Festival Day will be held Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. to celebrate and sell arts and crafts.

"Sometimes it is difficult to draw the line of what is fine art and craft," said Michele Wilkinson, Pryor Art Gallery curator. "Rock Paper Scissors gives our talented artisans a stage to share their creative crafts. Treat yourself to beautiful pieces of art and hand-crafts here."

Artisans will be notified by Dec. 12 if their work has been accepted into the exhibit. There will be a $20 entry fee per artist if the work has been accepted.
