(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Aug. 26, 2016) - - - The Columbia State Community College Foundation is pleased to announce Dana Salters of Lynnville as a new board member.

Salters, a Columbia State alumna and former member of the Lady Chargers basketball team, is the Maury Regional Medical Center administrative director of oncology services. In addition to an Associate of Applied Science degree in radiologic technology from Columbia State, Salters also earned a bachelor's in management and human relations and a master's in business administration from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Salters is the recipient of the Dr. LaVerne Gurley Award from the Tennessee Society of Radiologic Technologists. Salters is also a recipient of Columbia State's Alumnus of the Year award.

Patrick Gilbert, Foundation Board Chair, recently welcomed Salters at an orientation luncheon for new board members.

"The Foundation is important to the success of Columbia State and Salters will bring her individual talent to the collective work of the board," Gilbert said.

Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president emphasized that "the partnership between the Foundation and the College is a bridge for building the connections with individuals and organizations."

Columbia State Community College Foundation Board members serve three-year terms and represent leaders from across the nine-county service area. The Foundation's mission is to support and partner with Columbia State to positively impact our communities and student success through the maintenance and enhancement of resources.
