Columbia State Calls For Entries For "From The Heart" Juried Art Competition

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Aug. 26, 2016) - - - Columbia State Community College's Pryor Art Gallery announces a call for submissions to the bi-annual juried art competition and exhibit, "From the HeArt," open to artists from the Middle Tennessee area.

Artists that wish to submit their art to the competition must submit a photograph of their work by Sept. 12. Submissions are open to all visual art mediums and must be original. Entries can come from both professional and non-professional artists.

A total of $550 cash awards will be given to juried winners.

"This is a juried art competition," said Michele Wilkinson, Pryor Art Gallery curator. "Judging from the last exhibit two years ago, it is very competitive with the finest artists and hobbyists from Middle Tennessee. We have so much talent that surrounds us."

Artists will be notified by Sept. 21 if their work has been accepted to the exhibit.
