Student Government Association Selects 2016-17 Executive Board

In April, interviews were conducted to select the new leadership for the Student Government Association. As a result, we now have three new student leaders on board to serve SGA in the fall as the new executive board. Please join me in congratulating them!

*If any student (at any Columbia State Campus) is interested in joining the Student Government Association for next year, please take advantage of election/sign-up information on our web page: http://www.columbiastate.edu/SGA/sga-elections. There will be campus senator positions (student-elected) and activity board positions (open) available.

president of sga
Kirkland Pinkerton,
President

Kirkland has served as an SGA senator during the 2015-2016 academic year. He is also extremely involved in his community and even has his own photography business! The Centerville native will be earning his EMT certificate this spring, but will be returning to continue at Columbia State in the fall. Kirkland has a great vision for SGA and is excited to serve our student body as president!

sga vice-president
Lexi Donnelly,
Vice President

Lexi has served as an SGA senator this past semester. She served as a student representative at the Campus-Capitol Connection in Nashville, TN, in March, and she knew that she wanted to pursue leadership within SGA. Along with Kirkland, Lexi is also part of the President's Leadership Society. She is a driven individual with great ideas for the future of SGA.

sga secretary/treasurer
Heather Todd,
Secretary/Treasurer

Heather is a Pre-Med student from Northern Alabama. Heather will have a fabulous perspective to contribute, considering she has been attending the Williamson campus for some time and will be primarily in Columbia in the fall. Heather has held a number of leadership positions in the past, and we are extremely pleased to have her as part of the SGA executive board!
