CWD Offers Basic Life Support Course in Columbia
The course is designed to provide a wide variety of health care professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Individuals will complete the cognitive and skill evaluation in accordance with the American Heart Association curriculum. Students will work with anatomical human models, known as medical simulation manikins.
The first class will take place Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Room 121 of the Waymon L. Hickman Building. The second offering will be Nov. 17 from 5 - 10 p.m. in Room 123 of the Waymon L. Hickman Building.
The course fee is $57. Space is limited, so register today.
