(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Sept. 29, 2015) - - - More than 900 students were in attendance at this year's Maury County College Fair hosted by Columbia State Community College on Sept. 1.

"We are honored to continue to host this event which allows us to showcase our campus to high school students, guidance counselors and other college representatives," said Ronda Williams, Columbia State enrollment recruiter. "These students don't often have the chance to visit colleges outside of their immediate area, and this event brings all those opportunities under one roof."

Williams said the goal of the fair is to showcase the different college options that are available to Maury County high school seniors. She said the fair has been hosted at Columbia State for several years.

All Maury County public schools and two private schools were in attendance this year, including Columbia Academy, Columbia Central High School, Culleoka Unit School, Hampshire Unit School, Mt. Pleasant High School, Santa Fe Unit School, Spring Hill High School and Zion Christian Academy.

Colleges and universities in attendance included Austin Peay State University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Tennessee Knoxville, Tennessee Tech University and Trevecca Nazarene University.
