Columbia State Announces Launch of New Mobile Application

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Aug. 27, 2015) - - - Columbia State Community College is pleased to announce the launch of its new mobile application. Students, prospective students, alumni and the community at large can now download the free mobile app to stay up-to-date with the latest Columbia State news and events.

"We are excited about the release of our new mobile app," said Dr. Janet F. Smith, Columbia State president. "Our goal is to connect with students on their mobile devices as a way of increasing engagement in campus life events as well as connecting them with important college resources."

The Columbia State mobile app give students secure access to view their current schedule, class roster and search for upcoming courses. Students enrolled in online courses can also view class assignments and discussions.

In addition, the app connects to important resources such as admissions, financial aid, tutoring, the Columbia State library, and the bookstore. Users will find quick access to maps, emergency numbers and the college's employee directory. The app also connects to the college's social media accounts.

The app is currently available for the iPhone, iPad, and Android phone and tablet devices and can be downloaded by searching "Columbia State Community College" in the app store.
