(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - April 9, 2014) - - - Columbia State Community College's Pryor Art Gallery will feature the art of Maury County elementary school students beginning April 10, followed by an artists' reception on April 11 from 4 - 6 p.m.

"As usual, the elementary school students demonstrate incredible creativity in their artwork, making use of a number of different mediums while brightening up the gallery with vivid color," said Rusty Summerville, Pryor Art Gallery curator. "Of course, kudos also goes out to the elementary art teachers of Maury County as their wonderful instruction and dedication is seen in the creativity and artwork of their students."

The exhibit will feature a variety of artwork from students who attend Randolph Howell, J.E. Woodard, and Spring Hill Elementary Schools, as well as other elementary schools in Maury County. The exhibit will run through April 28, and parents, family and friends of the students are invited to attend the reception.

The Pryor Gallery is located in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus. The gallery is open and free to the public Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please visit www.ColumbiaState.edu/PryorGallery for additional information.
