Austin Reynolds Signs with Columbia State Baseball

Athlete Information

  • C/RHP Austin Reynolds Smyrna, TN
  • Blackman High School
  • 3.3 GPA

My Comment: Austin is one of the best players in middle Tennessee. He is a fiery competitor who will complement our program's mentality. Austin should be able to contribute not only as a strong arm catcher(timed 1.84 at ToppTenn Showcase) but may also see some relief innings on the mound. To go along with his offensive and defensive prowess, Reynolds displays a 84-86 mph fastball with a solid breaking pitch.

Fun Facts: Austin will join former Blackman standout Will Snider who is a member of the 2013-2014 team.

"I'm extremely happy that Austin has chosen Columbia State. They are getting a Division 1 level player with tremendous work ethic and dedication to the game. . He will have the opportunity to further showcase his skills to Division I colleges and pro scouts, along with playing in a program that will compete for a championships. Coach Corn and his staff are very well respected and are known for churning out prospects year in and year out. Austin has great future in the game and I'm excited that his first stop will be at Columbia State. "
