LAWRENCE COUNTY CAMPUS TO BEGIN EMT-IV PROGRAM IN JANUARY
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Nov. 7, 2012) - - - Students should apply now if they want to become a part of the EMT-IV course being offered in Lawrenceburg beginning Jan. 10. The Columbia State Community College program is being offered on-site in two-day sessions that will continue for one semester. The program will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
In addition to meeting the application requirements for Columbia State, students must be 18 years of age at the beginning of the class and must complete a criminal background check and drug screening.
"We are really pleased to be able to offer the EMT course in its entirety at the Lawrence County campus," said Ruth Ann Holt, director of the Lawrence County campus.
Holt warns that spaces are limited for this special session of the EMT course, and students should apply right away in order to secure a spot in the class. Clinical rotations will be required in addition to the classroom based hours.
