GET THE TASSEL AT COLUMBIA STATE

Registration for the 2011 spring semester is underway at Columbia State Community College. Thursday, January 6 is the last day to register without incurring a late charge. Classes begin Thursday, January 13.

"It's extremely important for students to register for their classes as early as possible and, more importantly, to see their faculty advisor at the earliest possible time," said Jeff Elliott, director of advising and career planning. "Getting valuable degree advice and scheduling early are critical keys to success."

Prior to registering, new students must complete a college application for admission and turn in high school or GED transcripts. In order to receive financial aid, a student needs to complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) form. After a student's file is complete, they will receive notification informing them of the next step in the registration process.

Registration and advising services are available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information, go to www.columbiastate.edu or contact Columbia State's Student Information Center at (931) 540-2540.

NOTE: The College will be closed December 23, 2010 through January 3, 2011. The College will re-open on Monday, January 2.
