Mr. Magical's Toy Shop is a delightful and lively holiday musical with something for every member of the family. Princesses, fairies and dinosaurs come to life two nights before Christmas to give back Christmas spirit to Maureen, a toy shop clerk that has waited on one too many customers.
"Our show features delightful music this year, holiday songs and a variety of other favorites for adults and children alike, said Cathy Hudnall, director and assistant professor of the Commercial Entertainment Program at Columbia State. "With visits from Raggedy Ann and Andy and your favorite princesses, everyone will love this story featuring our very talented and professional cast."
Hudnall recommends purchasing tickets in advance, especially for the Dessert Theater performance, which will feature Freddie Smith's Gourmet Desserts. Each show lasts one hour, and children can dress as their favorite story book character and bring a pillow to sit up front, close to the stage.
"The dessert theater gives audiences a more elaborate atmosphere-it's very entertaining and the desserts are divine," said Hudnall. "Guest attending the dessert theater will get a great show, choice of dessert and a beverage.
