Institutional Effectiveness
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) says, "Institutions have an obligation to all constituents to evaluate effectiveness and to use the results in a broad base continuous planning and evaluation process."
Assessment is a process of measuring the degree to which a college is meeting self-imposed performance standards. Institutional effectiveness is an internal process of planning and evaluation ensuring Columbia State's performance matches its purpose and mission.
Institutional Effectiveness at Columbia State integrates all planning and evaluation processes, including strategic planning, departmental assessment and planning, program review, funding formula, and quality assurance funding.
