Shakespeare: Our Greatest Writer and, Perhaps, for All Time

Professor Robert Thym presents a study of the continuing fascination with Shakespeare and his work highlighting recent scholarly developments that illustrate the modern qualities of the Bard and make him more like a contemporary writer than a high renaissance mythical figure.

Information about Shakespeare to be discussed:

  • His writing
  • His disputed plays
  • His religious beliefs
  • The lost plays
  • The continuing authorship question
  • A new understanding of Shakespeare's method and inspirations

There may be much we still don't know about the greatest writer the English language has produced. Join Professor Thym for the hidden world of William Shakespeare, a very public man and a man of many unsolved mysteries.
