Earn College Credit While in High School
Through Dual Enrollment

Last year, 1,102 local high school students got a head start on their college degree through Columbia State’s dual enrollment program.

 

 Who is Eligible?

  • High school juniors and seniors or academically-talented sophomores.
  • Attend a Tennessee public/private secondary school or home education program.

Dual Enrollment Students Can:

  • Earn high school credit required for graduation.
  • Experience college-level work.
  • Earn transferable college credits.
  • Access college resources.
  • Utilize grants to assist with tuition costs.
  • Potentially graduate sooner from college.

 Talk to your High School Guidance Counselor now to make plans for Summer or Fall 2021! Apply to Columbia State by May 10 for summer or August 6 for fall.

Dual Enrollment Grant

High school students have the opportunity to receive the Dual Enrollment Grant for one course per semester.

• Up to $500 for course 1
• Up to $500 for course 2
• Up to $200 for course 3

Students may also utilize up to $100 per credit hour for courses 5-10, which would be reduced from their Tennessee HOPE Scholarship on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
